If you haven't received yours, please email webmaster@somervilleyouthhockey.org Tuition for the season is $900 per players - $550 for goalies and siblings (and instructional mites) Why did we raise tuition? We are starting multiple weekly practice in September, (whereas in past years we were doing single weekly practices in Cambridge until November - thus our costs are higher) including skills for players and goalies. Are calendars going away? No, you may still sell calendars, but are not required to sell them. Any calendar raffle you sell will be $10 off your tuition. *SYHA reserves the right to cancel or amend the raffle depending on number of raffle tickets sold. Can I get out of any additional fundraising? Yes, you can pay $100 fundraising waiver. This must be paid by September 15, 2011 to count for the season. Is there any financial aid? Yes, you may apply for financial aid/scholarships to help offset the cost of tuition. Aid applications must be submitted no later than September 15, 2011 for consideration. Financial aid forms are available on the website or upon request to webmaster@somervilleyouthhockey.org. What if I have a certificate from the end of season party that provides a discount? We are keeping records of these and will apply that to your tuition. If you received a waiver on calendars, we will apply a credit of $40 or $80 to your tuition (depending on if you had 50% waiver or 100% waiver). Can I get a discount if I pay in full? For those of you new to travel teams, select your level (bantam, pee wee, squirt, mite) and then find your Somerville team. Schedules can change often, so it is important to watch the website. Our instructional mites play in Stoneham, http://www.syhockey.com Coaches All coaches, both head coach and assistants, must be registered with USA Hockey and be patched to the appropriate level. Player Registration with USA Hockey Each player is responsible for registering with USA Hockey. This is done online at http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ you will need to have a credit card handy.
